In the Edge school of ministry, our goal is to help you find and live out the identity God designed just for you. Step out of the stereo types placed on you by others and begin to develop the talents and abilities God placed inside of you. It's not until you completely surrender to Him that you will find your path and purpose in this life.

The Edge School of Ministry was birthed in 2002 by Pastor Waylon and Dana Sears, out of the vision to see students developed according to their own personality traits, becoming what God has specifically designed them to be. The uniqueness of the Edge is derived from the product of two cultures. Being overseers of a Masters Commission program starting in 1996, and being involved in full time student ministry starting many years prior to that. That's what makes Pastor Waylon and Dana Sears a credible resource. Their history and obedience to God's direction has caused a new breed of an intense discipleship program to begin. Dana, as the Edge director, has developed the program into a place where students can grow through teaching and hands on ministry opportunities, while Pastor Waylon adds a fresh dynamic of first hand experience and knowledge to the equation. They continually work hard to keep the program cutting edge and relevant to this generation. It is that drive coupled with their genuine hearts that brings students from all over the world.

The Edge is partnered with the discipleship ministries program through Southwestern Assembly of God University, which is an accredited school that allows students to not only work toward earning a degree with transferable credits, but also have the ability to apply for financial aid. Their course studies will be offered along with developed courses through the Edge School of Ministry taught by pastors and various staff designed to build character and biblical growth. From day one the students engage in prayer and devotions on a daily basis to establish a life long discipline of seeking God and giving God opportunity to speak back. We believe that everything we do is born out of prayer. It has been the catalyst in starting a 24/7 prayer movement that has become part of the culture of our church. Born from prayer, we now have a satellite campus on the University of Arizona where thousands of students can be ministered to. Every month students are rotated through different ministries of the church to gain an appreciation and heart for all that the church does. The diversity of these rotations allows students to develop in different areas. Lastly, we believe we are called to be a church with no walls, which means our students are introduced to a multitude of outreach opportunities like serving on local school campuses and participating in a mission trip.
